Why is the Vallejo Lodge named “San Pablo”?

Odd Fellows San Pablo Lodge #43 was founded in Vallejo in 1855. The lodge is named after the adjacent San Pablo Bay. Vallejo was founded in 1851 and incorporated in 1868. The city of San Pablo, originally part of the larger Rancho San Pablo that dates back to Spanish rule, was not incorporated until 1948.
